The facts...

Originally began as the Cleveland YMCA to offer day and evening classes to students who otherwise did not have access to higher education in the 1880s-1897

B.

1897-Cleveland Law School was founded- the first evening law school in the state to admit women and minorities

C.

In 1906- it became the Association Institute

D.

1916- John Marshall School of Law was founded

E.

In 1929 it became Fenn College- with big attempts to develop internships for students in engineering and business

F.

1946- Cleveland Law and John Marshall joined together

G.

1964- Cleveland State University was born!

H.

1965- Fenn College joined Cleveland State University

I.

1969- Cleveland-Marshall became part of Cleveland State University

J.

Cleveland State was known as the "Campus in the Clouds"

So what?

Cleveland State offers over 70 academic majors, 27 master's degrees, 6 doctoral degrees, and 2 law degrees.

....the point?

The campus has grown into over eight colleges, including Engineering, Law, Business, and Nursing.
