Post Traumatic Stress Disorder also known as PTSD is a mental condition triggered by experiencing or seeing a terrifying event.

Although there are many different symptoms of PTSD the three most common are
- Re-experiencing the traumatic event.
- Avoiding reminders of the trauma.
- Increased anxiety and emotional arousal.
There are lots of treatments for PTSD you can get A type of counseling called cognitive-behavioral therapy and medicines known as SSRIs. There are also many other ways to help you with your PTSD, you can get a service dog who knows when the episode is happening and will wake you up, or distract you so you stop.
People who have PTSD can get help by telling their doctor or someone who they trust who can get them the help they need.
