ULYSSES S. GRANT
He died on July 23, 1885 (aged 63) and was born on April 27,1822 in Ohio.HIs resting ground is in New York. In world war l he was a symbol of victory that was making people pull through.He broke the Confederate hold on Chattanooga. When he was not president and the civil war started he was working in his fathers leather shop. After that he was appointed by the Governor to command an unruly volunteer regiment. Grant whipped it into shape and by September 1861 he had risen to the rank of brigadier general of volunteers.
