Duke Alumnus Dr. Craig Gelband Still a Fan of the Blue Devils
About Craig Gelband
Pharmaceutical professional Dr. Craig Gelband currently works for Ogilvy CommonHealth Medical Education. As the senior medical director since 2007, he leads a team of medical directors and writers who create informational products on a variety of subjects, including psychiatry, anesthesia, women’s health care, cardiovascular care, and others. Prior to joining Ogilvy in 2007, Dr. Craig Gelband worked at Organon USA as a senior training manager.
Dr. Craig Gelband prepared for his career in the pharmaceutical industry at Duke University, which he attended from 1981 to 1985. After graduating with a bachelor of science in zoology, he enrolled at the University of Miami School of Medicine and studied pharmacology, completing his Ph.D. in 1990. Nearly 30 years after attending Duke, Dr. Craig Gelband remains devoted to the university, particularly to the Blue Devils basketball and football teams. During his years at Duke, he played intramural football and softball and never missed a home basketball game. The pharmaceutical executive is also a fan of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins and the NBA’s Miami Heat.
