Korean War

The Korean war started in 1950 and ended in 1953. It was called the Cold War and the battle was between South Korea and North Korea. It was the first major conflict that took place in that time.  The present of South Korea was Syng Rhee. There were about 75,000 soldiers that lost their lives because they were fighting for their country. The  Korean peninsula is still divided today and will remain that way. By July  American troops had entered the war and had continued to fight the battle. Supporting North Korea was Soviet Union and peoples republic of China. Supporting South Korea was the United States, Great Britain and United Nations.
