Why do we say the color that is spelt in the stroop effect?
Our brain doesn't process the color at first. The people that created this effect made it with words that we already know so when we look at the thing we will say the word we see instead of the color.
We say the word because our brain processes the word faster than the color. When we look at the image our brain is seeing both the color and the word but we are processing the word faster than the color.
