About Curtis Stewart
An experienced tax lawyer practicing in the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan, Curtis Stewart has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada and numerous other jurisdictions at the federal and provincial level. Curtis Stewart performs duties as a senior tax lawyer in the Calgary offices of Deloitte Tax Law LLP, which conducts litigation and dispute resolution in tax matters. His skills have earned him recognition in Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business and the International Tax Review Controversy Leaders.
Among his professional endeavors, Curtis Stewart sits on the Tax Court of Canada’s Rules Committee and formerly served as a director of the Canadian Petroleum Tax Society. He also previously held a seat on the board of directors of Cold Creek Capital and Arsenal Energy Ltd..
A big fan of musical theatre, Stewart has seen many Broadway productions including Cats, Legally Blonde, Les Miserables, and Mamma Mia! A frequent golfer, he belongs to the Earl Grey Golf Club. Stewart played hockey on the University of Saskatchewan team while studying for his law degree, and spent many years coaching the Glenlake Hawks, a team in Calgary.
