Massive Open Online Courses

And so it began... 2008, from the University of Manitoba, a free online class was offered. Using Moodle, online disscussions, blogs and more, students could participate and earn credit through a new idea in education. Today MOOC! classes are available from many institutions around the world as the pedagogy of connectivism continues to develop.

In a K- 12 school MOOC! classes can be used in high school. There are high school classes available which would help students who are unable to attend regular class sessions, students who want to take classes that are not offered in their school, or for those who find that this alternative works best for them.
