Background Information- Born in 1805, died in 1879. He started his journalist career when he was 13 with an apprenticeship with Ephraim W. Allen, a writer and editor for the local newspaper. In 1828, Garrison began his role in the Abolitionists movement
Accomplishments- He was one of the most prominent American abolitionist. He started an abolitionists newspaper in 1830 called The Liberator. He also helped form the New England Antislavery Society. And he blasted the Constitution as a pro-slavery document.
