Week 12: Office Mix
Office Mix adds functionality to PowerPoint 2013 that allows you to record audio or video of yourself presenting, write on your slides as you narrate, insert quizzes, polls, online videos, and more. In fact, you can even do full screen capture and record anything on your PC. Once your presentation is ready, just click “Upload,” and we will work our magic to transform your presentation into a mix. You choose when and with whom to share it.
First, Download and Install Office Mix.
If you're an EM-S ISD employee, be sure to sign in with your ORGANIZATIONAL account.
Once Office Mix is installed, a new MIX tab will appear in PowerPoint. On this tab, you can start Recording, insert quizzes, screen recordings, screenshots, videos, and audio clips and more. If you are new to Office Mix, please take a few minutes to go through the tutorial!
When you're finished, you can Export your MIX to Video and share it with others via URL/web link.
If you require your students to sign in with their Office 365 accounts, you will then be able to see see specific details (called Analytics) about how the students viewed and interacted with your MIX. You can see how long each student spent on each slide, what they answered for quiz questions, etc.
