and oligarchy supported by the u.s government more than 70,000 lives were lost, people in EL Salvador are still recovering from this war today.

There economy . The civil war caused a strain on el salvadors economy they forced to get help from foreign countries , el salvadors main trading partners are Guatemala , Honduras and the united states. Hurricanes in 1998 and earthquakes in 2001 caused the economy to decrease again because El Salvador depends on agriculture. El Salvador still depends on trade these days.

El Salvadors local goverment is divide into 14 departments each department has its own governor and alternate governor the country's 262 cities or towns are administrated by mayors and city council these are the 14 departments.Ahuachapan, Cabanas, Chalatenango, Cuscatlan, La Libertad, La Paz, La Union, Morazan, San Miguel, San Salvador, Santa Ana, San Vicente, Sonsonate, and Usulutan

El Salvador is located in the tropical zone the dry seasons are November to April and the rainy or wet seasons are from May to Octoberthe coastal plains recive the heaviest rainfall  the average rainfall is about 182 cm's and every year the rain inches increase by centimeters in 2012 the rain fall 244 cm long .Temperatures vary with altitude, from the hot coastal lowlands to the semitropical central plateau; in general, the climate is warm
