There are many problems in this world today now in days... But little did you know that half of these problems are provoking teens and some adults worldwide, both male and female. It might not sound like this situation is that serious when you hear the name but it is serious when you figure out how much it affects our generation now in days. This problem is known as the
What is an Eating Disorder & The 3 Main types?
An Eating Disorder is a type of disorder that affects the way you think of your body and the way you maintain, treat and feed your body. An Eating Disorder has fallen into 3 main types known as Anorexia, Binge-Eating Disorder, and Bulimia.
Bulimia is a habitual disturbance in eating behavior mostly affecting young women of normal weight, characterized by frequent episodes of grossly excessive food intake followed by self-induced vomiting to avert weight gain.
Anorexia is loss of appetite and inability to eat.
Binge-Eating Disorder is Binge eating is an eating disorder in which a person eats a much larger amount of food in a shorter period of time than he or she normally would. During binge eating, the person also feels a loss of control.
Some of the things that I found very interesting about this topic is that, eating disorders don't just happen normally there is always a purpose towards one and the top 2 reason teenagers and adult do this to their body and health is because: 1. They have been held back in life because of bullying in body image and how they look relating unto relationship status and belonging to a certain group of friends in life or school 2. The media as always has only beautiful slim girls on their covers, ads, and commercials because usually that's the type of body every person wants as well in movies they always choose the skinny ones rather than the thick. Culture, however also has to do with some of these eating disorders because some cultures are known for their looks and sizes.
Problem today with Eating Disorders.
The main problem with eating disorders today all over the world and people in general is that eating disorders sometimes have no cure and is very much more fatal than cured. The death rate of teens the age of 12 to adults the age up to 25 are about 56.8% in our generation, and our generation is dying because of these health problems which are anorexia, bulimia, and binge-eating disorders. You might think that their isn't a perfect size to be attractive or be friend material but all that truly matters is the confidence you have for yourself and you will overcome the reasons to become anorexic or bulimic. However the main cause of this was the death rate and depression that's overlaps with Eating Disorders all around.
