Who:The Korean War.                                                                                                           What:It was the first major conflict of the Cold War as the Soviet Union, and People's Republic of  China supported North Korea. The United States, Great Britain, and The United Nations supported South Korea. Their border was divided at the 38th parallel. The North Koreans attacked South Korea in 1950. About 2.5 million people were killed or wounded.
