Its proximity to Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington and other Dallas area cities makes it a perfect base for a leisure vacation, as well, with plenty of entertainment within reach, ranging from the Six Flags Over Texas park to Southfork Ranch. Plano's annual Balloon Festival draws visitors from far and wide. -

A suburb of Dallas, Plano, Texas was named the best place in the Western United States to live, the 11th best place to live and wealthiest place in the country by CNN/Money Magazine. It was also nominated as the safest city in America by Forbes. It’s an undeniable business center, home to many worldwide corporate headquarters, like Frito-Lay, HP and J.C. Penney. Visitors can enjoy a great nightlife and entertainment, shopping and dining, as well as exciting events like the Plano Balloon Festival and Plano International Festival.
