Scams and Identity theft
Identity theft is a serious crime and happens without you knowing at all. All people need is your name and address, credit or debit card numbers, Social Security number, or medical insurance account numbers. A thief can buy new things, change the address, get new credit cards, steal your tax refund, or if they were to get arrested they could pretend to be you.
How do thieves get my information? Well there are several different ways. they could steal your mail to get credit card information or your social security card number, trick you into sending information to a false company, or steal your wallet or purse. If you think someone steals your theft you should read your bills, check your account, check your email, get your credit report.
You can prevent theft by watching your wallet, be careful with your debit or credit card, secure your pin number .
