Making You Smile:
a little fun with Kim Gifford

I have always been called a "glass half full" type of person. I am a firm believer that life is too short not to smile and I love to make those around me smile and find reasons in their own lives to smile.

My husband, Chad, and our children: Christian - 14, Camden - 12, and Keely - almost 10 have almost gotten used to me taking off twice a year to attend Intensives on the Luther Seminary campus.  They eat a little differently, clean a little less, and stay up a little later but overall they do really well with me off at school.

The family picture was taken at my Blessing Ceremony held in October at Hope Lutheran Church in Surrey, ND where I am serving the congregation as a Synodically Authorized Minister while in school.

I am extremely excited for this class. My previous life was in advertising and marketing and I find the connection between media and religion both fascinating and scary at the same time! I hope to come out of this class with a better understanding of how these two seemingly unconnected topics can be used together to reach out more effectively to those that are seeking The Word!

I am looking forward to sharing this experience with all of you!!  #ltsg4.400

A Look at the Last Year!

Below are a few photos that reflect 2014 in my life.  It was certainly a great one!

Hello, Kim. I served at Hope Lutheran in Fargo for 10 years, so I suspect that you also look forward to the week at sem to warm up just a little bit as compared to Surrey up there by Minot.
