How does the type of circuit affect the strand of Christmas lights with a burned out bulb?
(IV) type of circuit (DV) burned out bulb
If the Christmas light are arranged in a parallel circuit then when one bulb bursts (is removed) the other bulbs will continue to light up.
I noticed that all the bulbs are lit because they still have a energy flow.
I noticed all the bulbs are still lit except for the empty space.
If the Christmas lights are arranged in a series circuit the one bulb bursts the other bulbs don't produce light.
I noticed that the bulbs light up because it is all connected.
I noticed that all the bulbs went out because the energy has no other route to take to get to the other bulbs.
In conclusion on the series circuit of the connection is broken then the circuit is not complete and in a parallel circuit if one bulb is removed then the other bulbs can still be lit up from other routes.
