Sendai, Japan, Software Products Executive
Daniel Crawford is the executive vice president of GrapeCity Group, a sister company of the Meysen Academy, which spans two campuses and is known for its quality kindergarten and after-school English education. Grape City is headquartered in Sendai, Japan, and maintains a presence in several countries, from the United States to China. Experienced in cross-cultural business development, Mr. Crawford takes on complex strategic issues in guiding Grape City beyond its base as a provider of school management systems and educational software for Japanese private schools.
Mr. Crawford began with Grape City in 1993 and oversaw pre-sales, customer service, and consulting activities. As IT manager for the Japanese division, he oversaw the engineering and implementation of a dedicated infrastructure system spanning Novell and Microsoft networks. In addition to products developed in-house, such as the LeySer school management system, GrapeCity encompasses a PowerTools division that provides software developers with specific analysis and spreadsheet capacities. A graduate of Tamagawa University, Mr. Crawford holds an elementary education teaching certificate.
