My Birthday Elements!

Lithium! The stuff in batteries? Yeah! Lithium has one of the lowest boiling melting points of all metals, it is also a highly reactive element. Lithium is the only metal which reacts with nitrogen under normal conditions. It also burns an amazing crimson color when put over a flame.

Sodium! Like the salt kind of sodium? Almost, but you definitely wouldn't want to put this on you eggs in the morning! When you hold sodium over an open flame, the flame becomes orange! Sodium is easily cut with a knife when at room temperature and normal pressure. When freshly cut, sodium has a bright, silvery luster. If you were to leave it out overnight when you woke up it would be a white color because of sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate.
