About Dan Safier
Dedicated to strengthening and revitalizing communities in San Francisco, Dan Safier has led the Prado Group as president and CEO since cofounding the company in 2003. During that time, he has spearheaded a number of development initiatives in areas with unused or underutilized properties that also present challenges to entry. Dan Safier and the Prado Group focus on transforming these properties into sustainable and accessible retail, residential, and mixed-use neighborhoods with a focus on community.
Highly regarded for his ability to collaborate with a variety of community groups, Dan Safier serves on the Urban Land Institute's Urban Mixed-Use Development Council and has spoken to the Urban Planning Coalition as part of its invited-speaker series. He draws on a diverse base of experience in real estate, having previously served as the executive vice president and principal of the Prometheus Real Estate Group, the Bay Area's largest luxury-residence developer, and as a portfolio and asset manager with the AMB Property Company. Mr. Safier holds a juris doctor from the University of California’s Hastings College of the Law and maintains active membership in the State Bar of California.
