David Walsh-Sirianni – Athlete and Community Advocate
For a number of years, David Walsh-Sirianni of Somerville, Massachusetts, has been not only a gifted athlete, but a community volunteer as well, developing team building and leadership skills. David Walsh-Sirianni applied those skills in a professional capacity as well, in the time he spent working as a server for JP Licks Homemade Ice Cream Café in Somerville, Massachusetts.
During his youth, Mr. Walsh-Sirianni participated in a number of sports, including soccer, basketball,baseball and lacrosse. While in elementary school at the Shady Hill School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he played basketball. Additionally, he was a member of the West Cambridge Little League and also participated in the Cambridge Youth Soccer and Boston Area Youth Soccer leagues. At New Lebanon, New York's co-ed, college prep Darrow School, he became a star athlete, playing varsity lacrosse, basketball, and soccer. For his hard work, he earned the Coach’s Award and functioned as co-captain of the varsity soccer team.
A community-minded individual, David Walsh-Sirianni volunteered through the Darrow School as a mentor to preschoolers from low-income families through the Head Start Program in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He also volunteered with the Agassiz Baldwin Community, taking part in sports and recreational activities with children ages 5-12 and functioning as a counselor-in-training for the Agassiz Baldwin Community Outback Summer Camp two years in a row.
