The story of Christianity starts almost 2,000 years ago in Roman occupied, Palestine today some of this area forms the state of Israel. The local Jewish population dreamed about getting rid of the Roman occupation. They believed in the a pending arrival of a figure the Messiah that would rule over the Jewish people.
