  • Women would go on strikes and campaign for women’s rights.
  • Many men were part of the vote for the tight of women but most men still thought of women as not a citizen.
  • Women were meant to just be at home with the children and watch over them while the men were working.
  • Women wanted to change how they were part of the government and they wanted to be equal.
  • While most girl’s husbands were in war, the ladies would be nurses or work in factories for money for their family.
  • Women had many jobs in their house like: cleaning, cooking, taking care of the children, and ironing.

  • Women usually didn’t have jobs because people said they weren’t as clever as men.
  • Most women would spend their whole day in their house looking after their children.
  • People used to say that “The women’s place was in their home.”
  • When the girls were young they were told to follow in their mother’s footstep’s so it wasn’t as important for them to go to school.
