If you want more of this culture feel free to visit Equatorial Guinea's neighboring countries: Cameroon and Gabon. If you are a person who loves heat then tis is the place for you! Equatorial Guinea has tropical climate where it is always hot and humid, but don't worry there is water on the east coast called The Gulf of Guinea. If you love to hike, the terrain has some small hills but it's mostly flat but you can go hiking in the rainforests. If your not to big on hiking or wandering in the wild There is plenty of cities to undergo. The biggest city there is in Equatorial Guinea is Bata which has a population of 173 046 est. The second largest city is Malabo which is on an island northeast of Bata. Population: 155 963, the Total population of Equatorial Guinea is 1 622 000.

Need to know what you need to pack? Equatorial Guinea is a humid country and its good to pack light, for woman we would recommend skirts below the knee or long pants or long dresses. For men we recommend light long pants, no shorts and polo shirts.  

You obviously get hungry so some items to eat there are cassava root, bananas, rice, yams and fish but you can prepare many meals as well. If you like partying or celebrating there is lots of festivals that you can go to, here is just one. Africa Cup of Nations one of the continent’s largest sporting events, the Africa Cup of Nations is a soccer tournament held every two years with participation from 16 national teams. A highly anticipated event from January 21 to February 12.

Ceremonies/traditions. There are Ancient Rituals and songs called Abira which cleanse the community of all evil.

Traditional Clothing, men and woman both wear robes which are loose and conservative. Woman  usually wear head raps and the men wear hats. Their robes have bright colors and crazy patterns on them.

Music, There is quite a variety of music to listen to such as reggae and rock and roll. Our favorite and recommend is reggae.     

The one historical event that shaped the country is they achieved Independence in 1968.

Some current issues that are happening right now, a meeting is happening to help earn strength above Poverty, corruption and depression.

When you go there you might be thinking "How can I make a difference?"  Well, we have some answers for you! If you are staying with a family in Equatorial Guinea, you could help out with the household chores or you can help out with farming and picking crops.
