Hades was the king of the Underworld. But he was also the god of death and riches. Hades was the oldest of the three brothers but he picked the worst place. Hades Greek name is aions and that means unseen. Hades roman name was Dis Pater.

His parents were Cronus and Rhea. His siblings were poseidon, Demeter, Hestia, Hera, Zues, and Chiron. His symbols include a drinking horn, a scepter, Cypress and a narcissus key. His main symbol was  Cerberus which was his three headed dog.




Some Fun Facts: Hades had 3 children (Macaria, Melinoe, and Zagreus. He was the oldest male child. He was not banished to the underworld, he drew that place. His wife Persephone was forcefully abducted from her mother because she refused to marry Hades. Persephone was the daughter of Demeter.
