A Comedic Legend
The Life and Times
Buster Keaton, born Joseph Frank Keaton, was a comedian who starred in many films in the 1920s. He also directed some films as well. He is an inspiration to many modern day comedians, due to his signature stoic look he sported in most all of his films, for effect. Two of Keaton's most famous works were "The General" and "Sherlock Jr.". Keaton started out, being the son of two medicine performers, in an acrobat comedy act with his family. He later, after a brief service in the WWI, started into the film business. He was married three times, and died at the age of 70 in his sleep.
