Cuba is an island country with a population of 11.27 million, whose national language is Spanish.
Cuba is a very tropical country. The dry season in Cuba lasts from November to April and the rainy season lasts from May to October. One of the main attractions is Old Havana, and they have lots of neighborhoods, historic walking areas, and landmarks. Another popular attraction is Camera Obscura, which provides a very unique view of old Havana. A third popular attraction is El Malecon, where you can watch the beautiful sunrise and sunset.
Some of the neighboring countries to Cuba are Mexico to the west, and Haiti and the Dominican Republic are to the southeast. Some of Cuba's major cities, or most populated cities, are Santiago de Cuba and Santa Clara. It's most popular city is Cuba's capital, Havana. The area of Cuba is 42,803 square miles.
One food Cuba is famous for is their coffee. It is supposed to be really good, but really strong. Most cuban meals include beans and rice with chicken or pork.
The currency Cuba uses is the Cuban peso. One Cuban peso equals 0.0377358 US Dollars.

THE CUBAN WAR OF INDEPENDENCE
The war started on February 24, 1895. On July 16, 1898 Spain signed a peace agreement in Santiago de Cuba. Cuba was trying to win its independence. The war finally ended on December 10, 1898. Cuba had finally won its independence.
