James Meredith was born in Mississippi in 1933. He graduated with a degree in political science. Meredith became the first Black student to enroll the University. Meredith joined the military after the High School. Meredith in 1963 was transfer student from all-black Jackson state college.
Meredith was sent to a hospital by a sniper bullets. Meredith filed a suit alleging discrimination. Meredith was acepted to the University in 1962. James Meredith was raised on a farm with nine siblings. When Meredith arrived at Ole Miss to register for classes on September 20, 1962, he found the entrance block.
