Even with the many new advanced technologies, not all crimes will ultimately be solved. Some technologies may curb certain crimes, such as motor vehicle thefts (S. 333.1 CC); however, as law enforcement advances in the use of technology, so will criminals.
Many new technologies will require extensive training to ensure proper police practice. This means more money will come out of tax payers as extensive training require more money. These new technologies need to be used in a proper manner to ensure effectiveness and in a way that will not put officers at risk of executing excessive force. In using technology the way it was intended to be used, not only will the technology be used within its design scope, but an officer's job will also be made safer.
