Industrial revolution, hour:4, By:Melanie                                     Benner

During the Industrial Revolution manufacturing was often done in people’s homes, using hand tools. Industrialization marked a shift to powered, special-purpose machinery, factories and mass production. At the start of the Industrial Revolution in the 1760’s people had their mind set on making everyday jobs easier and cheaper with machines. Some of the machines included the cotton gin, the steam engine, and the telegraph. Since the machines were so popular and people were getting a lot of machines for factories, this allowed more people to have a job because the owners of the factories needed people to work their machines and so they hired many workers. The machines were such a big part of the Industrial Revolution. Almost everything that happened in this time period the machines were involved in, whether good or bad.
