Here are some table manners and rules that you will need to follow in order to eat in Sweden. The first rule is to not reach for you drink until the host says "skoal". Also your hands should be visible while you eat. You should also make direct eye contact. Another rule to follow is to not eat until host says you can. Also you do not switch the knives and forks. You should also use a fork and spoon for dessert. Another good table manner to do in Sweden is to start by the outside and work your way in, course by course. Also their will be two separate glasses for each drink. You may also not eat with your hands. The only food you can eat with your hands is bread. There are many other rules you have to follow while eating in Sweden but here are just a few of them

We found a lot of things surprising. One of the things we found surprising is that you can not reach for your drink until the host says "skoal".  We also found different table manners in Sweden then in the U.S.A. For example in Sweden you can only use a fork and a spoon for desert. On the other hand in the U.S.A can use forks, knives, and spoons for desert. You would need these table manners if you go to Sweden because you don't want to embarrass  urself
