Hi Everybody, this is Tanner Carlson, I'm a student here at Holman Middle School.  I am a 6th grader at Holman.  Holman is located in Glen Allen which is located just outside of Richmond.

The Purpose of this website is for the people in our English class to learn more about an influential person.  Each one of the people in our English class picked an influential person to research and now we have to make this website so it is interactive and learning.  

Description: Brett Favre's NFL Career

Description Paragraph: Brett Favre was the starting quarterback for his college football team all four years, then after he graduated he went to the Atlanta Falcons for his first year.  He was later drafted by the Green Bay Packers where he stayed until 2007.  In those years he was the MVP 1995, 96, and 97.  He also broke lots of records.  He didn't have his best seasons with the Jets because he led the league in interceptions and didn't have a lot of touchdowns.  The Jets missed the Playoffs because of those statistics.  But he had one of his best seasons with the Vikings where he had a lot more touchdowns and only had seven interceptions.  Brett Favre finally retires after he comes back and doesn't have a great season with the Vikings.

Cause and Effect: How Brett Favre Started Playing Football

Cause and Effect Paragraph: Brett Favre had a tough football coach as a father, as a result he started to play football as a kid.  When he got interested in football his father helped coach him through his high school years.  After Brett graduated from high school he went to college where he played backup QB.  When Brett graduated from college he went to play in the NFL where he was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons for his first year.  This all happened because of his father being a football coach.

Chronological Paragraph: Throughout Brett Favre's football career he had a lot of important events.  First, when Brett Favre got to the NFL was an important event because it was the beginning of his legendary career.  Secondly, was when he was invited to play for the Atlanta Falcons because it was his first NFL team,  Third, was when he signed with the Packers because it was the team he spent most of his career with and went to the Super Bowls with.  Fourth, was when he returns from his retirement and plays for the Vikings.  Lastly,  Was when he finally retires because it was the end of his NFL career and now he is known as one of the greats.
