Plough aka the Big Dipper is a constellation located in the northern sky. North America can see the Big Dipper in the summer sky. It was important to many societies such as Ireland, China and American Indians. The stars that make up Plough are Alkaid, Alcor, Mizar, Alioth, Megrez, Dubhe, Phecda, and Merak. This constellation is very influential on human history. It has shaped many religions and is an iconic constellation.
