Pocahontas Area Boys Basketball
The PAC/ LM Boys basketball team is looking to take a step forward this season and challenge for the Twin Lakes Conference title. With eight letter winners returning, the Indians look to rely on that depth to compete in every game. Head Coach Brian Heide believes that adding Webster City, Algona, and Clarion Goldfield to the Indian's schedule will provide tough non-conference competition that will benefit Indian's during the postseason.
Heading Into Winter Break
With two games remaining on the schedule before winter break, the Pocahontas Area Indians Boys Basketball team is 4-1, and looking to improve that record. The Indians started off the season with great defensive efforts against the Emmetsburg E-hawks and the MNW Cougars. But, in their third game of the season the Indians were not able to continue the winning streak as they were defeated by the Webster City Linx. The following game, the Indians traveled to Newell and beat the Mustangs for the first time in four years. They continued the success in Laurens, where they defeated the Alta-Aurelia Warriors by nine points. Next up for the Indians are the East Sac County Raiders on December 16th, and the Sioux Central Rebels on December 19th.
