Ranger and Apollo

Rescued from Starvation

These boys touched my heart.  I was there the day we discovered these two living in absolute filth and their bones almost poking through their skin from starvation.  The moment I knew we could leave with them, and walked them up the road to the trailor I was so happy for these two.  I named them Ranger and Apollo for their strength and will to survive.  Ranger, the smaller horse, was near 30, and was in awful shape.  For the first few nights, it was minute by minute.  We knew if he passed, he would have at least gone surrounded with love.  Ranger came around and enjoyed eating and living out his days roaming wide open fields and getting tons of love.  Apollo started eating and never stopped.  A big boy of 8, was such a sweetheart.  When I looked at them you could tell they knew I had helped them.  Love those guys!

Oh my gosh...those poor horses. It's people like you that truly make a difference in the world. Thank you.
