A DAY IN THE LIFE OF BUI
Bui Duy Binh, 11 years old, 5 grade.
He gets up, brushes his teeth, and gets ready for school. His mom usually makes him breakfast. Today he buys pho, a beef noodle soup, from a street vendor.
Either his mom or dad gives him a ride to school on their motorcycle. Not many people can afford cars. Because of traffic, it takes 10 minutes for him to get to school.
He turns in his homework. After that, he has art class. A teacher comes to his classroom to teach us how to draw. His team choose him to draw on the board.
He gets home and waters the plants on the roof top garden. When his mother gets home, they eat lunch together. Afterward, he reads and take a nap.
When he wakes up, he eats yogurt or fruit and starts studying. Sometimes, he'll go for a walk in his neighborhood. He stays close to his home, because the crowded streets can be dangerous.
He helps his mom prepare for dinner. Tonight, he will make tofu, chicken wings, fried squid and French fries. He thinks it is so good!
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF SAM
I get up to get ready for school. I brush my teeth and get everything ready to go.
The bus comes to take me to school. I usually talk to my friends on the bus. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get to school.
School starts and I go to my first class.
I leave school to go home. I ride the bus.
I do chores before my parents get home. If I don't finish them I usually get in trouble. I don't like getting in trouble.
4:15 (or 4:30) P.M
I do homework if I have any. If I don't I go look for other things to do. If I can't find anything, I'll either watch TV or read.
I eat dinner. After dinner I take a shower and if I have time left, I play on electronics, watch TV, read, or find something that interests me.
