Limerick poems are short, humorous poems that are meant to make you laugh. These poems consist of five lines and lines one, two, and three need to rhyme and lines four and five need to rhyme. These poems aren't serious. They are very silly and have to be humorous or else they aren't a limerick. These types of poems where discovered in England in the early 18th century.
There was a Young Lady whose chin
Resembled the point of a pin:
So she had it made sharp,
And purchased a harp,
And played several tunes with her chin.
