Dominant: A trait that comes from the parents

A dominant trait mostly comes from your parents.

Examples: Detached Earlobes, Dimples, Tongue Roller.

Recessive Traits

Recesssive: Traits that are not visible in your parents.

You do not get these traits from your parents.

Examples: Blue/Green eyes, Straight hair, Blone, Light, or red hair color.


Phenotype: An individual's trait.

A trait only you have.

Examples: Blue eyes.


Genotype: Genetic Makeup.

How genes are made up.

Example: Pollen.
