Kesha was born March 1, 1987 in Los Angeles , California . Kesha was exposed to music at an early age by her mother Pebe . Her mother was a songwriter and singer. Her mothers biggest songwriting success was " old flames can't hold a candle to you." The song was a hot single for Joe Sun and Dolly Parton . Kesha's mother had a hard time supporting Kesha and her older brother at their early rears . They were on welfare and food stamps . When Kesha was 4 she moved to Nashville with her family when her mother had landed a sing writing contract . Tagging along with her mother Kesha spend a lot of time in recording studios in her adolescence . Her mother encouraged her in her interest in singing . Kesha also went to music school . where she learned about songwriting . Deep in the heart of country music scene she was inspired by Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline .

At 17 Kesha left high school to pursue a music career . She changed her name to Ke$ha and had moved to Los Angeles to work with producer Dr. Luke who had worked on hit singles for Katy Perry and Kelly Clarkson among others . Ke$ha's big break came from an uncredited and unpaid cameo on rapper flo ridas 2009 No. Her first hit was " Right Round" Soon after she landed a record contract with RCA and released her first single "Tik-Tok" . The party anthem developed her debut album . Animal reached the top charts after it's release in January 2010 . She had scored two more top 10 hits after that. She is 26 right now and is doing great with her album warrior .
