Richard Hudson's Life/ Education/Achievements/Set designs
Richard hudson was born on the 9th of june 1954 in Zimbabwe, Africa. He trained at the Wimbledon School of Art that is located in Wimbledon, South London and was schooled in Zimbabwe. He is best known for the set design of the lion king which won him a Tony for best scenic design as well as the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Set Design. He also holds the position of Scenography Commissioner to OISTAT and a royal designer for the industry(RDI).He has also won multiple awards for different buildings he has designed the exterior for.
The lion king first opened in Minneapolis in 1997 then went onto to make an appearance in Broadway as well as West End. It also appeared in different parts of america, Japan and in Australia Sydney.
