Edgar Allan Poe
Edgar Allan Poe, was born in January 19, 1809 in Boston Massachusetts, and he died in October 7th 1849 Baltimore Maryland. His parents were David Poe, and Eliza Poe, But soon Edgar's parents died and Mr, and Mrs, Allan brought him into their home. He soon started to read poetry and read Latin poems with fluency. While in collage, Poe wrote his first story, most of Poe's stories were gloomy and sad. Poe was a good student he just had a lot of debt, he spent most of his money ob drinking, gambling and expensive taste. Poe soon got a job and published his first type of poetry "Tamerlane and other poems" then he soon got married to his first cousin Virginia in 1837, at age 27. He was becoming more and more famous but they were still poor, soon his wife became ill and after 10 years of marriage Virginia, passed away from an illness. Soon Poe got ill from all the heavily drinking and on Sunday October 7, 1849 Poe said "Lord help my poor soul" and died. He was only forty years old. The three of his poems, "The Raven", The Bells, and "Annabel Lee" Are among the most beautiful poems in the English language.
