Dr. Daniel McNair
Guiding Environmental Decontamination Efforts
About Dr. Daniel McNair
A successful entrepreneur based in Idaho, Dr. Daniel McNair heads the firm Dyad Environmental, LLC. Dyad Environmental has developed a number of chemical and biological waste treatment technologies that eliminate chlorinated organic and petroleum contamination. In the late 1980s, Dr. Daniel McNair created the proprietary Chemical Electrokinetic System (CEX), which offers the benefit of complete environmental compatibility. CEX does not generate toxic byproducts, and its chemical components dissolve within a week. The technology has been extensively tested by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in a number of settings for chronic and acute toxicity.
Dr. McNair’s team has undertaken a number of high-profile projects, including the 2010 Muir Ranch cleanup in Montana and the 2006 Birch Plaza petroleum release in Idaho. Respected in his field, he spoke on “Stabilization of Electrostatic Precipitator Ash Using Magnesium-Based Cement” at a 1992 conference of the Trade Association of Pulp and Paper Industries. Affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Dr. McNair spent two years in Argentina as a volunteer missionary, helping local people gain new lifestyle-related skills.
