About Dr. Ellen Wilson
Following a year-long medical mission trip to Zaire, Africa, Dr. Ellen Wilson completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at George Washington University Hospital. A standout resident who received numerous commendations, she earned a fellowship to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where today she serves as an associate professor in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology. Additionally, Dr. Ellen Wilson serves as medical director of pediatric and adolescent gynecology at Children’s Medical Center.
Her expertise has brought her recognition on multiple occasions, including being named among Texas Super Doctors, Best Doctors in Dallas, and one of America’s Most Compassionate Doctors. A fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, Dr. Wilson maintains membership in the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Association of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeons, and the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.
Dr. Wilson began her medical career after earning a degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. A board-certified reproductive endocrinologist, she spent eight years in a private infertility practice before she joined the faculty at UT Southwestern where she specializes in surgical correction of congenital anomalies of the female reproductive tract, menstrual disorders, and other areas of gynecological management for patients from infancy into young adulthood. In addition to her teaching career, the doctor continues to treat both pediatric-adolescent and adult patients.
