Dr Jai N Gupta - Former CEO of EER Systems
An experienced engineer and businessman, Dr. Jai N. Gupta served as the founder and CEO of EER Systems for more than 20 years. At the inception of the company, he provided the necessary startup capital and grew his business into a multi-million dollar operation in the aerospace technology industry. Among other projects, Dr. Jai N. Gupta headed the construction of the Conestoga commercial rocket. He sold EER for $110 million to L-3 Communications, where he held the role of president of government services group before retiring.
In his leisure time, Jai N. Gupta enjoys listening to music, playing bridge, and reading about advances in artificial intelligence. He also likes to travel and read Urdu poetry. His philanthropic interests include contributing resources to the Purdue University computer engineering program and the Durga Temple. He also takes an active role in operating his family foundation. A longtime leader in the field, Mr. Gupta is an associate fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
AIAA to Hold SciTech 2017 in Texas
An experienced engineering professional, Dr. Jai N. Gupta served as president of L-3 Communications, a company that provides advanced communications products for government agencies and aerospace contractors. Throughout his career, Dr. Jai N. Gupta has held memberships in professional organizations, including the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
In its efforts to advance the knowledge and skills of its members, AIAA holds a variety of educational conferences, workshops, and forums throughout the year. The organization is currently preparing for several upcoming events, including AIAA SciTech 2017, which will take place January 9-13 at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas.
More than 4,000 participants from around the world are expected to attend the event to take part in a five-day technical program comprising sessions on applied aerodynamics, atmospheric flight mechanics, systems engineering, space operations, and a range of other topics. In addition to a robust education program, the event will feature presentations from several prominent aerospace industry professionals, including Dave Bowles, the director of NASA Langley.
