About Dr Jane Andrews Wartburg College
An experienced choral director and Professor Emeritus at Wartburg College, Dr. Jane E. Andrews has built a reputation as a highly creative and successful conductor. She received a Doctor of Musical Arts from the Conservatory at the University of Missouri, where she served as a graduate teaching assistantship for the Madrigals and Vocal Jazz Ensemble. After finishing her doctoral studies, Dr. Andrews served as the chair of the Mount Mercy College Music Department and the music director of Atonement Lutheran Church.
Most recently, Dr. Andrews worked as a tenured professor in the music department of Wartburg College, where she supervised over 100 student teachers during her time at the college. She also worked closely with teachers in northeast Iowa to develop quality music curriculums and prepared students for careers in music education and graduate study. In addition to founding the I Heart Music Day Festival for children in the third and fourth grades, she directed the 70-women St. Elizabeth Chorale and led May term tours to countries across the globe.
