About Dr. Keltie Duggan

A hospitalist and physician, Dr. Keltie Duggan is also a former competitive swimmer and was inducted into the Sports Wall of Fame at the University of Alberta in September 2012. Dr. Duggan swam for the Edmonton Keyano Swim Club from 1978 to 1994 and for the Canadian National Swim Team from 1987 to 1992 and placed impressively in many competitions. For instance, she was a finalist at the World Aquatic Championships in Perth, Australia, taking fifth place, and won a gold medal in the 100 meter breast stroke at the Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand. Dr. Keltie Duggan also competed in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Korea, taking tenth place in the 100 meter breast stroke and winning a bronze medal for her participation in the medley relay.

Dr. Keltie Duggan finished her undergraduate education at the University of Alberta in 1994, coinciding with her final year in the Edmonton Keyano Swim Club. She subsequently earned her doctor of medicine in 2000 from the University of Calgary and has been practicing medicine for over a decade.
