About Dr. Paul Schottland
Since 1983, Dr. Paul Schottland has operated a private clinical psychology practice in Florham Park, New Jersey, where he is devoted to helping parents develop practical tools so that they may effectively contribute to their children’s healthy emotional development. A member of the American Psychological Association and the New Jersey Psychological Association, Dr. Paul Schottland is also an advanced and certified cognitive schema therapist.
Dr. Schottland holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree and PhD from the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles. Prior to founding his private practice, Dr. Paul Schottland served as a psychology instructor at Harvard Medical School’s Department of Psychiatry and as chief psychologist for Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
In addition to leading his practice, Dr. Schottland actively supports a number of charitable organizations, among them the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Juvenile Bipolar Research Foundation, and JDRF. When he is not working, he enjoys golfing and fly fishing as well as spending time with his son and daughter.
