About Dr. Roger Hatcher PHD
A licensed psychologist in the state of Illinois, Roger Hatcher, PhD, established PsychCare Associates in 1975 and served as the facility’s practice director until 2012. Between 1977 and 2010, he also consulted at a number of clinics and hospitals in the western suburbs of Chicago, including Rush-Copley Hospital, Dreyer Medical Clinic, Mooseheart Child City and Krejci Academy for children with special needs. Dr. Roger Hatcher earned a PhD in clinical psychology from Boston College.
An expert in court-related matters, Dr. Hatcher designed DuPage County’s first custody-evaluation programs, and has published severalarticles in law journals regarding the clinical aspects of custody litigation. As a court-appointed expert, he has conducted more than 1,500 custody evaluations for various courts in Illinois. A founding member of the Professional Academy of Custody Evaluators, he is also a Life Member of the American Psychological Association and a former member of the Illinois Psychological Association.
In recognition of his contributions to the field of psychology, Dr. Hatcher received the 1995 Distinguished Graduate Award from the National Catholic Educational Association, as well as the American Psychological Association’s 1994 Karl Heiser Presidential Award.
