Introduction to fantasy through read aloud, stopping to make observations about the genre.

Review the meaning of idioms, while adding the meaning of adages and proverbs. Write these in Reading notebook.

Read "The Time Specs 3000" and identify meaning of idioms "out of the blue," "get the hang of," and "have Lincoln's ear" in graphic organizer. Turn in (will be graded and returned for notes).

Begin the writing prompt to use as many idioms, adages, and proverbs as possible in a conversation between two fantasy characters. Finish project for homework.
