Alexander the great served as a king of macedonia from 336 to 323 B.C. During his leadership he united Greece, reestablished the Corinthian League and conquered the persian empire.
Alexander the great was born on July 20, 356 B.C, he united the greek city-states and led the corinthian league. He also became the king of persia, babylon and asia, and created Macedonian colonies in Iran. While considering the conquests of carthage and rome, he died of malaria in babylon persia, on june 13, 323 B.C. He was born to king Philip II of macedon and queen olympia, daughter of king Neoptolemus. The young prince and his sisters were raised in Pella's royal court. He received his earliest education, his father hired Leonidas to teach alexander math,horsemanship and archery. His next tutor Wasphilosopher Aristotle at the temple of the nymphs at Meiza. He taught Alexander poetry,drama,science and politics. He completed his education in Meiza in 340 B.C while still a teen, a year later he became a soldier on his first military expedition against a tribe called the Thracian tribes. Then alexander and his mother was forced to flee "Macedonia" and live with his mothers family.
AFTER HIS DEATH
after he died his kingdom collapsed, over time cultures of Greece thrived as it set effect of alexanders empire, becoming part of his legacy spreading the sprit of "Panhellenism".
